I would like to ask the media why they are so anti-casino.

Are the people profiting from all other gambling venues gagging our local paper? Does sending millions of dollars to Foxwoods, Mohegan Sun, Atlantic City, etc., make sense? Do we sponsor bus tours to these places?

Do we advocate $20 scratch tickets? Does our government say spend more on lotteries? Do super bingos happen on the first of the month?

If I should choose to lose my car, my home, my spouse, does it make a real difference if it is lost on a horse, a scratch ticket or a slot machine?

The real difference is keeping jobs and money in the state of Maine, not sending it to the wealthy casinos south of here.
