Waterville held a 15-1 advantage in shots during the first half but was unable to score in a 2-0 loss to Brewer in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A boys soccer game on Monday in Waterville.
Yuhi Sasaki and Spencer Valley each scored for Brewer (3-8-0). Ian Buress made six saves.
Zack Disch stopped two shots for Waterville (2-9-0).
Field hockey
Lawrence 2, Oxford Hills 1: Danielle Armour scored off a rebound with 4:18 to play to lift Lawrence in South Paris.
After a scoreless first half, Lawrence (8-4-1) went up 1-0 just 3:10 into the second half on Caitlin Koller’s goal, which was assisted by Miranda Costigan. Oxford Hills tied it on a goal by Heather Verrier with 8:31 left.
Abby Egan made nine saves for Oxford Hills (5-7-2).
Girls soccer
Winslow 6, Lincoln 0: Pilar Elias had three goals and an assist to lead the Black Raiders past the Eagles in Winslow.
Alliyah Veilleux added two goals and an assist for Winslow (4-5-2). Sarah Fowler also scroed a goal, and Elizabeth Ferry made two saves.
Carly Erskine had three saves for Lincoln (0-10).
