SOUTH CHINA — Chris Hall scored with 5 minutes, 36 seconds left to paly to lift Messalonskee to a 3-2 win against Erskine in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A boys soccer action Monday.

Erskine tied the game with 11:55 left when stopper Darrell St. Jean floated a free kick near midfield over the goalkeeper’s head.

The host Eagles took a 1-0 lead on Damon Bailey’s first-half goal assisted by Sean Cabaniss. Messalonskee came back to take a 2-1 lead on goals from Wyatt Omsberg and Kyle Holmsen.
Ryan Pulver made seven saves for Erskine (7-5-1), while Zach Sutherland made four for Messalonskee (9-2-2).

Lawrence 4, Waterville 2: Matt Saunders scored three goals and added an assist to lead the Buldogs to the KVAC Class A win in Fairfield.

Tim Dudley added a goal for the winners, while Zach Blomerth, Drew Bois and Christian Carpenter had assists. John Terhune and Kaleb Kane scored for Waterville with Max Brown and Tommy Samson contributing assists.

Brad Mackenzie amde five saves for Lawrence (7-6-0), while Dakota Gendreau made 19 for Waterville (2-11-0). Lawrence won the junior varsity game 3-1.

Buckfield 8, Valley 3: Trevor Averill scored four goals and Austin Dooley scored two to lead the Bucks to the East-West Conference win in Bingham.

Luis Averill and Jacob Bailey added a goal apiece for the winners. Carrington Miller scored twice for Valley and contributed an assist, while Stone Ellis scored a goal and Jordan Gillespie an assist.
Samuel Mathieu made 17 saves for Valley (6-7-0), while Calvin Dauney made six for Buckfield (6-7-0).

Girls soccer

Madison 6, Carrabec 2: Melissa White scored three goals and Nathalie Michaud added two to lead the host Bulldogs to the Mountain Valley Conference win. Sam McLaughlin added a goal and an assist for the winners, while White also contributed two assists.

Jocelyn Jackson had a goal and an asisst for Carrabec (0-14-0) while Leah Porter scored a goal. Savanna Kandiki made two saves for Madison (12-1-1).

Messalonskee 4, Erskine 3: Sara Grenier scored two goals to lead Messalonskee to the KVAC Class A win in Oakland. Kassidi McPherson and Sydney Shackett added goals for the winners, while Allison Fishang recorded an assist.

Taylar Chase scored two goals for Erskine, while Raechale Sage scored one and Alyssa Gartley, Meryl Bond and Baylee Doughty contributed assists.

Shawna Oliver made five saves for Messalonskee (4-9-0). Hattie Welch had five for Erskine (5-6-2).
