Why we should vote no on Question 1, not to repeal the ban on same-day voter registration:
Informed voters should be responsible to register in the 247 days provided to do so, considering the many ways to accomplish this, including by mail. This causes me to wonder why some feel their rights to vote are diminished if same-day registration is eliminated.
We the voters have the responsibility to be informed about the candidates we vote for. This causes one to wonder how informed same-day registrants are about the candidates if they wait for the election day to register.
Also to be considered are the rights of other voters and election workers not to have the confusion and proven errors caused by same-day registration.
