TURNER — Freshman Lillie McLaughlin scored 10 minutes, 32 seconds into sudden death overtime to lift Maranacook to a 1-0 victory against Leavitt in a Western Maine Class B quarterfinal game Tuesday.

McLaughlin’s goal bounced off a defender and eluded Leavitt goalie Kelly Pomerleau. The fifth-seeded Black Bears (9-3-3) advance to Saturday’s semifinal round against top-seeded Morse in Bath. Fourth-seeded Leavitt finishes at 8-4-3.
