VASSALBORO – Selectmen might finish the personnel handbook they and Town Manager Mary Sabins have been working on since August at Thursday’s meeting.

Sabins gave selectmen a first draft of the handbook at their Sept. 1 meeting.

Since then they have twice reviewed it with town employees and received comments — more than they expected — from an attorney.

Thursday night, they intend to consider the attorney’s comments and perhaps adopt a final version of the handbook.

Thursday’s agenda also includes discussion of two properties on which taxes have not been paid, the former Carl’s Quick Stop in North Vassalboro, which the town has declined to accept, and the tax-acquired property at 159 Cushnoc Road; a proposed schedule of selectmen’s and Budget Committee meetings to prepare the 2012-13 annual budget; and the usual reports from Sabins, the road commissioner and the police chief.

Selectmen meet at 7 p.m. in the Town Office.
