Police arrest three on bath salts charges

WATERVILLE — Police arrested three men from the Mid-coast area early Saturday on charges of trafficking in a synthetic hallucinogenic drug, commonly known as bath salts. Police Sgt. Alan Main said the men were in possession of 31⁄2 ounces of the drug during a motor vehicle stop on Main Street at 2:06 a.m. Saturday by Sgt. Daniel Ames and Officer Tristan Russell.

Arrested were Paul A. Mahonen Jr., 34, of South Thomaston; Travis L. Griffin, 26, of Warren; andMerideth K. Finley, 28, of Rockland. They were taken to the Kennebec County jail in Augusta.

IN BINGHAM, Saturday at 8:59 a.m., a threatening complaint was investigated on Main Street.

IN SOMERSET COUNTY, Thursday at 2:40 p.m., Leo Raymond Coutu, 26, of Waterville, was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault and a violation of probation.

4:10 p.m., Darryl Alan Roberts, 45, of Warren, was arrested on a writ.

IN FAIRFIELD, Friday at 9:23 p.m., Donnel Angel Bou, 20, of Fairfield, was arrested on a  probation revocation.

IN MADISON, Thursday at 5:19 p.m., Heath Wentworth, 21, of Fairfield Center, was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended or revoked license.

Saturday at 1:33 a.m., Brandy Lynn O’Donald, 29, of Skowhegan, was arrested on two charges of possession of a scheduled drug.

Friday at 8:02 p.m., Anthony Joseph Kilmer, 30, of Madison, was arrested on a probation revocation.

IN NEW PORTLAND, Ryan Heath Nile, 23, of Embden, was arrested on charges of operating after habitual offender revocation and night hunting.

IN NORTH ANSON, Friday at 4:49 p.m., Eric Joseph Hoskins, 36, of Norridgewock, was arrested on a charge of operating after suspension.

IN SKOWHEGAN, Friday at 11:47 a.m., Gary Eugene Lisherness, 51, of Madison, was arrested on a charge of operating under the influence.

Saturday at 1:13 a.m., Zachary Augustus Benner, 31, of Skowhegan, was arrested on a charge of violating condition of release.

5:41 p.m., Samantha Rose Michaud, 21, of Madison, arrested on a probation hold.
