ORONO — Eleven players scored for the University of Maine women’s basketball team in their 73-37 win over Maine Maritime Academy on Tuesday evening.

Courtney Anderson of Greene led Maine (3-3) with 10 points, while Shareka Maner added nine points and five rebounds.

Colby 87, Thomas 26: Cony High School graduate Rachael Mack had a game-high 21 points as the Mules cruised to a win over the Terriers on Monday.

Colby (4-0) had a 46-3 lead at halftime as Waterville native Jen Nale had eight of her collegiate-high 15 points in the first 20 minutes. Nale sank three 3-point shots on the night.

Colby, which had 10 3-point shots in the games, did not allow a field goal in the opening half. Thomas was 3-for-8 from the foul line for its only points.

Elizabeth Goodall had seven points to lead Thomas (0-3).

Men’s basketball

Maine Maritime 52, UM-Augusta 50: Andy Ball’s layup just before the buzzer lifted the Mariners to a win over the Moose in Castine.

Ball finished with 14 points for MMA (1-3). Wily Walter had 14 points and Arron Cochran 12 for MMA (1-11).

Colby 73, Fisher 51: Ben Foreman scored 20 points, including four 3-pointers as the Mules gave new head coach Damien Strahorn his first win as Colby men’s coach in Boston on Tuesday.

Gordon Fischer added 10 points and seven rebounds, while Kyle Donovan had nine points, four steals, seven rebounds and five assists for the Mules (1-2).

Bates 72, Thomas 63: The Bobcats rallied from 12 points down in the second half on their way to a non-conference win over Thomas in Lewiston on Tuesday.

Bill Selmon had 15 points, 11 in the second half for Bates (2-2).

Mark Brust added 10 points and Luke Matarazzo had seven assists, seven points, six rebounds and two steals.

Jarrad DeVaugh scored a game-high 29 points for the Terriers (2-2) and is just for point shy of the 1,000-point plateau. Franklin Salvador added 17 points and eight rebounds.
