BOSTON — A plan by Occupy Boston protestors to bring a winterized tent into the encampment is meeting with opposition from the city.

Officials are warning that police will move to confiscate the tent if the demonstrators attempt to bring it in to the Dewey Square site.

Occupy Boston representatives say the tent is fireproof and can hold up to 10 people. They say city officials were informed in advance of the plan in the interest of improving relations.

Members of the group clashed with police last week after an attempt to bring a sink into the encampment. One person was arrested.
