OAKLAND — Mary Badeen had 20 points as Messalonskee defeated Bangor, 38-26, in high school girls basketball action Tuesday night.

Bangor (1-1) made just 12 of its 62 field goal attempts and two of its 11 free throw attempts. Denae Johnson had 13 points and Katie Brochu pulled down 12 rebounds for the Rams.

Megan Pelletier had six points, 13 rebounds and three blocked shots for Messalonskee (2-0).
