AUBURN — Hall-Dale outscored St. Dominic by five points in the fourth quarter on its way to a 54-52 Mountain Valley Conference boys basketball victory Tuesday night.

Sam Shepherd had seven points and six blocks for Hall-Dale (2-0) while Mike Woods added 13 points.

Joe Bryant had 13 points and Tom Applegate 12 for St. Dom’s (0-2).

Bangor 47, Messalonskee 31: Nick Sherwood and Robbie Brookies each scored 11 points to lead the host Rams to the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A win. Bangor is 1-1.

Elijah Steele and Gage Landry each scored six points for Messalonskee (0-2).

Edward Little 71, Cony 56: Quin Leary scored 29 points and Omar Haji-Hersi added 23 to lead the Red Eddies to the KVAC A win in Auburn. Haji-Hersi added nine rebouds while Sean Ford dished out 10 assists for the Red Eddies (2-0).

Walker Cooper led Cony (0-2) with 17 points while Josiah Hayward scored 15 and Zac Lachance 10.

Lewiston 56, Erskine 49: Josh Thomas had 21 points as the Blue Devils beat the Eagles in a KVAC A game in South China.

Donne Agossou added 13 points for Lewiston (2-0).

Devin Duncan had 14 points, while Tyler Belanger added 12 points and six rebounds for Erskine (1-1).

Morse 68, Oak Hill 29: Ted Cole scored 16 points — including four 3-pointers — as Morse rolled to the KVAC B win in Bath.

Junior guard Sam Warren led Oak Hill (0-2) with 10 points, while Derek Gamage pulled down 10 rebounds and Kyle Fields added eight.

Morse (1-0) led 18-0 after the first quarter.

Buckfield 42, Richmond 40: A Richmond comeback fell two points short in East-West Conference action. Ben Carver stole the ball and tied the game at 40 with 30 seconds left to play but Buckfield’s Austin Dooley sealed the win with a pair of free throws. Dooley finished with a game-high 18 points while Kade Strout led the Bobcats with 12 points and 15 rebounds. Sean Bernier added 11 points for Richmond (0-2) while Carver scored 10. Buckfield is 1-1.
