BANGOR — Richard Hallowell of Pittsfield was recently promoted to major in the Maine Army National Guard.
Hallowell was assigned as the executive officer for 521st Troop Command in Bangor. He has served in a variety of leadership position which include: the deputy commander of the 11th Civil Support Team, commander of the B Co. 3-172nd Mountain Infantry Company and an infantry platoon leader for the 1/504, 82nd Airborne Division.
Hallowell graduated with a bachelor science degree from the University of Maine.
