JACKMAN —Evan Worster scored 14 points in the second quarter as Forest Hills rallied from a seven-point deficit to defeat North Haven 71-41 in East/West Conference boys basketball action Friday night.

Worster finished with 38 points for Forest Hills (3-1). Derick Ouellette chipped in with 16.
Avery Waterman had 18 points for North Haven (2-2).

Lawrence 57, Messalonskee 31: Lawrence opened the game with a 16-0 run to take the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A win in Oakland.

Tim Dudley had 10 points for Lawrence (3-0), while Alex Leathers added nine.

Riley Wentworth and Carl Smith each had five points for Messalonskee (0-3).

Boothbay 75, Madison 58: Anthony Demauro scored 19 points to lead Boothbay to the Mountain Valley Conference win in Madison.

The Seahawks (2-1) started to pull away in the second quarter.

Austin Kane led Madison (1-1) with 31 points.

Erskine 56, Mt. Ararat 45: Tom Grady led all scorers with 17 points to pace Erskine (2-1) to the KVAC A win.

Devin Duncan scored 13 points for Erskine.

Mt. Ararat (0-3) was led by Dylan Cole and Brett Martin with 10 points apiece.

Nokomis 57, MCI 41: The Warriors broke open a tie game by outscoring the Huskies 20-6 in the second quarter on their way to a KVAC B win in Pittsfield.

Ethan Pearl led the winners with 17 points while Devin Chambers added 14 and Ruel Libby 11.

Tian Tang scored 11 points for MCI (0-3) while Trey Vintinner added 10. Nokomis is 2-1.

Valley 75, Rangeley 44: Carrington Miller had 26 points, 13 rebounds and four assists as the Cavaliers rolled to the win in Bingham.

Josh West added 22 points for Valley (3-0) and Caleb Wade passed off for five assists.

Alex Morton and Eric White were the high scorers for Rangeley (0-2), with 14 points apiece.

Hall-Dale 70, Mt. Abram 56: Brad Shepherd scored 15 points and Hall-Dale made 11 3-pointers to cruise to the Western C victory.

Mike Woods scored 14 points while Sam Shepherd and Tyler French each added 11 for the Bulldogs (3-0), who led just 26-24 at the half before pulling away in the third quarter.

Ian James scored 17 points to lead Mt. Abram (0-2).

Hampden 66, Mt. Blue 57: The Cougars cut a 20-point deficit to a point in the fourth quarter before falling to the host Broncos in a KVAC A game.

Christian McCue led Hampden with 17 points while Fred Knight added 10.

Cam Sennick paced Mt. Blue with 12 points. Hampden is 3-0, Mt. Blue is 2-1.

Bangor 55, Skowhegan 51: In Bangor, Patrick Stewart’s 23-point effort sparked the Rams to victory. Nick Sherwood scored 13 points and John Szewczyk netted 11 for Bangor.

Levi Barnes poured in a game-high 29 points to lead Skowhegan.

Ethan Johnson scored 17 points. Bangor is 2-1, Skowhegan is 0-3.

Boys hockey

Messalonskee 8, Presque Isle 3: Sam Dexter scored four goals and added two assists to lead the Eagles to the Class A win at Sukee Arena in Winslow.

Chase Cunningham added three goals and three assists for the winners while teammate Travis St. Pierre recorded five assists. Billy Blake also scored for Messalonskee while Adam Fylnn, Cody Merrill and Isaac Lajoie scored for Presque Isle.

Nick Davis made 35 saves for Presque Isle (0-2) while Nate DelGiudice had 20 stops in goal for Messalonskee (2-1).
