GARDINER — Gardiner Federal Credit Union members are participating in two holiday fundraisers — a Giving Tree and a Bear Hugs for Kids — to benefit the community.
The Giving Tree, a Christmas tree in the credit union lobby, has gift suggestions for local families. Participants should choose a gift to purchase and wrap and return to the credit union by Dec. 19.
The Bear Hugs for Kids box, available through December, is a collection of new or gently used stuffed animals for local children. Stuffed animals will be given to the Maine Credit Union League to distribute to area fire and police departments.
