FARMINGTON — Eric Berry converted a 3-point play in the final seconds to give the Mt. Blue High School boys basketball team a 59-56 win over Brewer in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game Tuesday night.

Berry finished with nine points for Mt. Blue (10-3). Cam Sennick led the Cougars with 24 points, while Nick Hilton added 10 and Steve Yardley had seven points and six assists.

Brendan Newcomb had 19 points for Brewer (5-3).

Leavitt 56, Nokomis 47: Jordan Hersom scored 20 points as the Hornets beat the Warriors in a KVAC B game in Newport.

Andrew Middleton had 16 points for Leavitt (10-3), which outscored Nokomis (8-4) 15-7 in the fourth quarter.  Tim Down added 11.

Andrew Cartwright had 15 points for Nokomis.

Brunswick 56, Lawrence 54, OT: Mitch Black had 22 points and four assists as the Dragons beat the Bulldogs in overtime in a KVAC A game in Brunswick.

Garrett Erb added 10 point and six rebounds for Brunswick (9-4).

Keith Chelsey had 15 points and Tim Dudley 12 for Lawrence (9-4).

Greenville 58, Valley 52: Trevor Richards scored 14 points to lead four Lakers in double figures in a win over the Cavaliers, in Bingham.

Also for Greenville (11-2), Henry Hersey had 12 points, Howie Stone 11 and Matt DeAngelo 10.

Carrington Miller had 10 points and 10 rebounds, while Caleb Wade had 14 points for Valley (9-4).

Bangor 70, Messalonskee 48: Xavier Lewis had 12 points as the Rams beat the Eagles in a KVAC A game in Oakland.

Ellis Throckmorton added nine points, while both Alex Campbell and Christian Corneil had eight for Bangor (10-3).

Gage Landry had eight points for Messalonskee (1-12).

Winslow 45, MCI 34: Austin Ireland had 14 points as the Black Raiders beat the Huskies in a KVAC B game in Pittsfield.

Trevor Lovely added 13 points for Winslow, which improves to 8-5.

Trey Vintiner had nine points for MCI (2-11).

Mountain Valley 56, Mt. Abram 29: Ryan Nichols scored 16 points as the Falcons beat the Roadrunners in an MVC game in Rumford.

Jacob Theriault added 10 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and five steals for Mountain Valley (7-5).

Arthur Ryan had 10 points and eight rebound sfor Mt. Abram (2-11).

Gardiner 81, Oak Hill 25: Aaron Toman scored 14 points to lead a balanced attack for the host Tigers in a KVAC B win.

Jake Palmer added 11 points and five assists for Gardiner (12-1) while Matt Hall had 10 points and six rebounds. Justin Lovely chipped in with five points, seven assists and five steals.

Oak Hill (0-12) was led by Sam Morin with 19 points.
