WATERVILLE — The Mid-Maine Technical Center will hold its open house and local skills championship from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, at the center. Admission is free.
An awards ceremony will follow the competition. Students from each program will compete to represent Mid-Maine TECH at the state SkillsUSA championships. Skill competitions include advertising design, carpentry, commercial baking and more.
Students will perform various tasks, which will be scored by industry and community representatives.
The SkillsUSA championships will be held Thursday and Friday, March 15 and 16, at the United Technologies Center and Eastern Maine Community College in Bangor.
