JACKMAN — Evan Worster scored a layup with 55 seconds left to become the eighth boys basketball player in school history to reach 1,000 points, as Forest Hills beat Buckfield 59-45 in an East-West Conference game Friday night.

Worster, a junior, made a cut along the baseline and received a pass from freshman point guard Brandon Ouellette on his milestone hoop. He was also fouled on the play and completed the three-point play to finish with 24 points.

Worster is the third Forest Hills player in four years to surpass 1,000 points, joining Corey Plante and Cody Gilboe. He added 12 rebounds. Freshman Ryan Petrin scored 15 points and grabbed 16 rebounds for the Tigers (13-3).

Austin Dooley had 20 points for Buckfield (6-10).
