BANGOR — Emmitt Faulkner and Spencer Carey each scored nine points, as Lawrence High School beat Bangor 37-22 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A boys basketball game Tuesday.

It was Lawrence’s first win at Bangor since 1987, coach Mike McGee said.

“We played great defense,” McGee said. “We rebounded really well. They didn’t get many second chances.”

Lawrence (11-6) outscored Bangor 22-9 in the second half to pull away. Keith Chesley had eight points and 10 rebounds for the Bulldogs.

Patrick Stewart led Bangor (12-5) with 11 points.

Winslow 73, Mt. View 48: Trevor Lovely had 20 points and six assists to lead the Black Raiders to a KVAC B win in Winslow.

Brandon Labrie added 18 points and four assists for Winslow (11-6), while Austin Ireland had eight points and 10 rebounds. Justin Murray chipped in 10 points.

Taylor Reynolds had 17 points for Mt. View (7-10).

Brewer 71, Skowhegan 64: Jeff Weeks and Mark Cuskelly had 17 points each as the Witches won win Skowhegan.

Yuhi Sasaki added 11 points for Brewer (7-10).

Levi Barnes scored a game-high 42 for Skowhegan (3-14).

Gardiner 80, MCI 54: Aaron Toman had 21 points and eight rebounds to pace the Tigers to the KVAC B win.

Jake Palmer added 16 points, seven rebounds and six assists for Gardiner (15-2) while Alonzo Connor chipped in with 12 points, five rebounds and three blocks. Justin Lovely also had 12 points.

MCI (2-15) was led by Trey Vintinner, BJ Philbrick and Jerry Chen with 10 points apiece.

Mt. Blue 73, Messalonskee 57: Cam Sennick had 24 points and 22 rebounds to lead the Cougars to the KVAC A win in Farmington.

Nick Hilton added 21 points for Mt. Blue (13-4) while Eric Berry chipped in with 15 points, eight steals and five assists.

Messalonskee (2-15) was led by Gage London and Elijah Steele with 11 points each.

Erskine 55, Brunswick 53: Meryl Bond hit a foul shot late in regulation to give the Eagles the lead, and Amy Phillips hit a pair to ice it in a KVAC A win in Brunswick.

Erskine (3-14) lead by 16 midway through the fourth quarter, but didn’t score again until there were 14 seconds left in the game, when Bond hit a foul shot. Phillips gathered a rebound and was fouled with two seconds left, hitting a pair of foul shot to give Erskine a three-point lead.

Bridget Humphrey led Erskine with 16 points, eight steals and six rebounds. Bond had 13 points, five rebounds and four assists.

Liz Faulkner had 19 points and Mel Bryant 10 for Brunswick (4-13).

Rangeley 45, Kents Hill 41: Taylor Esty and Emily Carrier each had 12 points as the Lakers beat the Huskies in Kents Hill.

Chantal Carrier added 11 points for Rangeley (16-2).

Marissa Tarrio had 11 points and Emma Curnin 10 for Kents Hill (5-6). Heather Larrabee added eight points, 11 rebounds and five steals, while Caroline Tortorella added seven points, nine rebounds and seven steals.

Nokomis 45, Waterville 24: Marissa Shaw scored 12 points as the Warriors improved to 17-0 with a KVAC B win over the Panthers in Newport.

Anna Mackenzie added 10 points for Nokomis.

Ashleigh Gagne had 11 points for Waterville (8-9).

Messalonskee 55, Mt. Blue 45: Mary Badeen and Megan Pelletier combined for 40 points to lead the Eagles to the KVAC A win in Oakland.

Badeen finished with 21 points for the Eagles (13-4) while Pelletier had 19. Badeen and Pelletier also had eight rebounds apiece.

Mt. Blue (11-6) was led by Miranda Nicely with 18 points and Gabby Foy with 12.

Spruce Mountain 57, Carrabec 28: Kathryn Ventrella had 16 points as the Phoenix beat the Cobras in an MVC game in Jay.

Kailee Newcomb added 12 points for Class B Spruce Mountain (16-1).

Emma Pluntke had 14 points for Carrabec (4-12).

Gardiner 52, MCI 26: Katie McAllister had a double-double, finishing with 12 points and 17 rebounds as the Tigers won a KVAC A game in Pittsfield.

Kylee Granholm added eight points for Gardiner (15-2).

Ashley Kitchin had eight points for MCI (2-15).

Bangor 45, Lawrence 33: Jordan Seekins had eight points as the Rams beat the Bulldogs in Fairfield.

Morgan Johnson and Mary Butler each added six points for Bangor (6-11).

Shelby Rudnicki had seven points for Lawrence (2-15).

Winslow 50, Mt. View 39: Elizabeth Ferry had 15 points as the Black Raiders won in Thorndike.

Jordyn Pomerleau added 14 points for Winslow (9-8) including four 3-pointers.

Janelle Thornley had nine points for Mt. View (2-15).
