WATERVILLE — Jil Vaughan had 19 points and 12 rebounds as the Colby College women’s basketball team beat Husson University 71-43 on Tuesday.
Cony High School graduate Rachael Mack added 12 points, while Aarika Ritchie chipped in 11 for Colby (16-5).
Stephanie Comstock had 14 points and nine rebounds for Husson (10-10).
Men’s basketball
UM-Farmington 80, Bates 70: The Beavers rallied from an 18-point deficit to beat the Bobcats in Farmington.
Maranacook Community School graduate Kevin Leary scored 14 second-half points and fellow Maranacook graduate Ben Johnson had 14 of his 20 in the second half for UMF (13-8).
Johnson added nine rebounds and Leary finished with 17 points.
Ed Bogdanovich had 14 points for Bates (11-10).
