WATERVILLE — Forest Hills had four players score in double figures to post a 63-56 victory against Greater Portland Christian in a girls basketball game Wednesday at Thomas College.

Keely Taylor led Forest Hills (13-5) with 16 points, followed by Jocelyn Hoyt with 15, Kori Coro with 12 and Dana McNally with 10. Hoyt, who stands — 5-feet, 6-inches — also had 10 rebounds, and McNally dished out 10 assists to pick up a double-double.

Elaine Beech led GPC (7-9) with 35 points. The Lions scored 38 points in the second half.

Boys basketball

Forest Hills 64, Greater Portland Christian 34: Evan Worster, who recently passed 1,000 career points at Forest Hills, had 25 points as the Tigers defeated the Lions at Thomas College in Waterville.

The win was the 11th in a row for Forest Hills (15-3). Freshman Matt Turner added 14 points and eight steals, and Derek Ouellette scored 13 points.

Isaac Lacroix led GPC (9-8) with 10 points.

St. Dominic 60, Mt. Abram 18: The Saints outscored the Roardunners 23-4 in the fourth quarter to break open a close game in Salem Township.

Joe Bryant had 23 points for St. Dom’s (8-10) and had five of his team’s 10 3-pointers. Tyler Huppert (eight points) was the top scorer for Mt. Abram. The Roadrunners ended the season 3-15.

Boys hockey

Messalonskee 3, Orono 2: Messalonskee scored a pair of goals in the third period to erase a 2-1 deficit and pull out the Eastern B victory.

James Varney scored the game-winner 6 minutes, 32 seconds into the third. Sam Dexter pulled the Eagles (13-2-0) even at 2-2 when he scored just 3:51 into the period.

“I knew it would be this type of game,” Messalonskee coach Mike Latendresse said. “Orono is a tough team.”

Orono (5-7-1) erased a 1-0 deficit with two goals in the final five minutes of the second period. Matt Cloutier tied the game at 1-1 when he beat Nate DelGiudice from out front with 4:09 left in the period. Dan Perry then gave the Riots a 2-1 lead when he scored with 44 seconds left in the second period.

Men’s basketball

UMA 78, Unity 36: Eric Gagne had 18 points and nine rebounds to lead the Moose to the win in Augusta.

David Prior added 15 points and 10 rebounds for UMA (7-21). Ben Bouchard scored 11 points to lead Unity (2-9) while John Crowe had eight points and 10 rebounds.

Women’s basketball

Boston University 73, Maine 50: Chantell Alford scored 18 points, including six 3-pointers, to lead the Terriers to the America East win. Rashidat Agboola added 14 points for BU (18-6, 11-0).

Maine (6-18, 3-8) was led by Danielle Walczak and Samantha Baranowski with 11 points apiece.

UMA 74, Unity 27: Katie Poirier scored 26 points and hauled in 15 rebounds to lead Moose to the win in Augusta.

Jenn Lola added 20 points, nine rebounds and four assists for UMA (15-8) while Ashley Peaslee and Kerry Fredette each scored 10 points. Unity (1-14) was led by Ashley Sutton with 10 points.
