WORCESTER, Mass. — Harry Lanphear of Manchester, Maine, a freshman majoring in mechanical engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, was named to the fall 2011 semester dean’s list.

Lanphear is a graduate of Maranacook Community High School. He is the son of Harry and Jennifer Lanphear.

Rodrigue named to dean’s list

PORTLAND — Evan D. Rodrigue of Winthrop, son of Dr. Dale and Kathi Rodrigue has been named to the fall 2011 semester dean’s list at the University of New England.

Rodrigue is a second-year student majoring in business. He is a graduate of St. Dominic’s Academy.

Davis named to dean’s list

PORTLAND — Ciara A. Davis, daughter of Charles and Sherry Ann Davis of Augusta, has been named to the fall 2011 semester dean’s list at the University of New England.

A 2010 graduate of Cony High School, Davis is a dental hygiene major.

Powers named to dean’s list

PORTLAND — Chelsey M. Powers, daughter of Rhonda Bonenfant of Chelsea and Dennis Powers of Gardiner, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2011 semester at the University of New England.

A 2005 graduate of Oak Hill High School, Powers is a dental hygiene major. She is a member of the Student American Dental Hygiene Association.

STORRS, Conn. — Two local students, Valerie Lynne Collins of Augusta, Maine, and Bennett Jackson Doughty of Winthrop, Maine, were named to the fall 2011 semester dean’s list at the University of Connecticut.

Petersen inducted to Phi Eta Sigma

HAMILTON, N.Y. — Rachel Anne Petersen, a member of the Colgate University class of 2014, has been inducted into the Colgate chapter of Phi Eta Sigma, the national scholastic honorary society that recognizes the outstanding academic achievement of first-year students.

Currently a sophomore at the university, Petersen is the daughter of Daniel S. Petersen and Dr. Kathleen E. Petersen of Augusta. She is a graduate of Cony High School.

Duplisea named to dean’s list

PORTLAND — Jeff Duplisea, son of Deb and Fred Duplisea of Wayne, has been named to the fall 2011 semester dean’s list at the University of New England.

A 2009 graduate of Maranacook Community High School, Duplisea is a sports management major. He is actively involved at the university as a varsity basketball player and a supervisor of intramural sports.

Emery named to dean’s list

PORTLAND — Andrew Emery, son of Bob and Donna Emery of Winthrop, has been named to the fall 2011 semester dean’s list at the University of New England.

A 2010 graduate of Winthrop High School, Emery is a medical biology major. He is actively involved at the university in golf and the International Medical Missions Group.

Ladd named to dean’s list

PORTLAND — Evie Ladd, daughter of David and Lisa Ladd of Oakland, has been named to the fall 2011 semester dean’s list at the University of New England.
