TURNER — Jake Palmer banked in a one-handed 3-point shot from 35 feet out at the buzzer to lift the Gardiner Area High School boys basketball team past Leavitt 54-51 in the regular-season finale for both teams Thursday night.

Tim Dow pulled Leavitt even at 51-51 with a 3-pointer in the corner with 5.1 seconds left before Palmer ended it in dramatic fashion.

Palmer finished with 16 points, six assists and four steals. Aaron Toman led Gardiner (16-2) with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Matt Hall had 10 points, seven rebounds, four assists and four steals for Gardiner as well.

Jordan Hersom scored 16 points and Dow added 13 to lead the Hornets (14-4).

With the victory, Gardiner advanced to the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B championship game. The Tigers will play Medomak at Cony High School on Saturday at 7 p.m.

Winslow 76, Oak Hill 42: Justin Murray scored 13 points and Caleb Hill added 12 to lead host Winslow in a Class B game. Murray also had 12 assists and five rebounds.

Cody Morrison and Austin Ireland each added eight points for Winslow (12-6).

Sam Morin scored a game-high 15 points to pace Oak Hill (0-18).

Winthrop 38, Madison 28: Taylor Morang scored eight points — all from the foul line — and Hunter Kilgore added seven to lead the host Ramblers in a Western C game. Matt Sekerak and Dan Miles each chipped in with five points for Winthrop (3-15).

Austin Kane scored eight points to pace Madison (10-8).
