WATERVILLE — Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area will offer a certified Hospice Volunteer training starting Monday, March 5. Training is for those interested in sharing 2-4 hours a week with individuals and family members who face a life-threatening illness. Support may include: companionship, letter writing, life review, reading, compassionate listening, respite for the caregiver or bereavement support for family members.
Classes will be 5:30-8:30 p.m. Monday and Wednesdays, March 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21 and 26. A pre-training interview is required as space is limited.

There is a $30 process and materials fee. Scholarships are available. Applications can be requested by calling 873-3615 or visit hvwa.org/help-hospice.shtml.
