WINSLOW — Chase Cunningham had three assists as the Messalonskee High School boys hockey team beat Hampden Academy 4-1 at Sukee Arena on Saturday.

Josh Towle, James Varney, Travis St. Pierre and Sam Dexter each scored for Messalonskee (14-2-0). Nate DelGiudice made 23 saves for the win.

Brendan Cota scored the lone goal for Hampden (7-8-0). Ryan Manning had 20 saves for the Broncos.

Waterville 4, MHW 2: JT Whitten scored two goals and assisted on a third in the second period as the Purple Panthers defeated the Hawks in Kents Hill.

Tommy Samson and Dalton Denis also scored for Waterville (4-12-0), which needed the win to stay alive for a playoff spot in Eastern A. Denis had two assists, and goalie Cody Thibodeau made 26 saves.

Dan Condon scored both goals for MHW (8-7-0). Matt Dubois and Tyler Plante combined for 29 saves.

Western B wrestling: Three Gardiner Area High School wrestlers won titles at the Western Maine Class B regional wrestling championships Saturday.

Danny Del Gallo, Wyatt Thornton and Mitchell Chesley all won their weight class for Gardiner, which finished sixth with 82 points.

Mountain Valley won the Western B title with 164.5 points, followed by York (142), Fryeburg (141) and Wells (139).

Del Gallo won the 138-pound title with a major decision over Fryeburg’s Kirk Hubbard. Thornton won at 152, pinning Zach Faskianos of York in 3:52. Chelsey took the 195 title with a major decision over Santos Rodrigues of Mountain Valley.

Eastern B wrestling: Camden Hills sent nine wrestlers to the championship finals on its way to the Eastern B team title.

The Windjammers won the title with 246.5 points, easily beating Ellsworth (119). Belfast was third with 89.5.

Four Camden Hills wresters (James Archer at 106, Thomas Cassidy at 138, Neal Harrison-Baillait at 145, Brandon Graffam at 195 and Rhett Chase at 220) won titles.

Maine Central Institute finished sixth with 75 points. Jacob McGowan won the title at 285. Dylan Dahlberg was the runner-up at 106 and Trevor Kitchen reached the championship finals at 152.

Western C wrestling: Dillon Pelletier won the 113-pound title as Winslow finished third in the Western C regional.

Ryan Malcolm won the 220-pound title to help Madison to a fourth-place finish. Mt. View finished fifth.

Dirigo won the Western C title with 194.5 points. Bucksport was second with 157.5, followed by Winslow (122), Madison (100) and Mt. View (82). Monmouth finished seventh with 23 points and Hall-Dale eight with 15.
