CLINTON — Police are on the lookout for a man who allegedly stole $200 Monday from a cash register at Galusha’s Too on Main Street.

Clinton Police Chief Craig Johnson said the money was stolen while an employee left the building to assist a customer at the gas pumps.

The suspect is a man in his late 20s or early 30s. He is described as 5 feet, 7 inches with a slender build and was last seen driving a gray Toyota Scion.

Strong woman charged with assault

STRONG — A woman faces multiple charges after being accused of forcing her way into a Strong home and assaulting another woman, said Franklin County Sheriff’s Lt. Niles Yeaton.

Kimberly A. Luce, 36, of Strong, was arrested Sunday after another woman reported being attacked by Luce the day before. The other woman told police she knew Luce and the assault was connected to Luce’s boyfriend, Yeaton said.

The other woman, who Yeaton would not identify, answered a knock on the door Saturday morning and Luce forced her way inside the Farmington Road home, where she attacked the 32-year-old woman and threatened her before leaving, Yeaton said, citing police reports.

Luce was arrested the next day by Franklin County sheriff’s deputies. She is charged with burglary, assault and terrorizing and was released Sunday from Franklin County Detention Center in Farmington after posting $1,000 cash bail. Her next court date is March 23, Yeaton said.
