GARDINER — Police arrested a Gardiner man after he allegedly shot his girlfriend’s pickup truck with a firearm Wednesday night during a domestic fight.

Gardiner Police Chief James Toman said police arrested Allie Vigue, 58, of Gardiner at his home, 11 Allies Way in Gardiner.

“We got a call of a domestic situation — the parties involved were separated — and a vehicle had been shot during the altercation,” Toman said Wednesday. “We made contact with the subject inside, and after a little bit, he came out and was taken into custody without incident.”

Toman said he wasn’t sure of all the charges, but he said Vigue would be charged at least with reckless conduct with a firearm, criminal mischief with a firearm and discharge of a firearm within 400 feet of a residence.

Sgt. Isaiah Peppard said there were no injuries. He said bail was set at $5,000.

Gardiner police officers responded, as did state police and the Kennebec County Sheriff’s Office.
