KENTS HILL — Sarah Adams of Readfield has been named a finalist in the 57th Annual National Merit Scholarship Competition.

Adams, a postgraduate student at Kents Hill School, is the daughter of Shira and Stephen Adams of Readfield. Her activities include Amnesty International, Model United Nations, Student Senate, varsity Debate Team, varsity cross country and tennis and the Gay-Straight Alliance. She has also participated in a number of community service projects, including work as a writing coach to middle school students, volunteering at the MaineGeneral Medical Center Emergency Department and will participate in the United Methodist Volunteers in Mission relief trip to the Gulf States.
