MOUNT VERNON — Mount Vernon Elementary School will hold kindergarten screening and registration for the 2012-13 school year on April 3.

Children must be 5 years old on or before Oct. 15. Parents should bring their child to the screening, which lasts approximately one hour, as well as a copy of their child’s birth certificate and immunization records. For an appointment, call Brenda Fleury at 293-2261 ext. 0.

Hall-Dale Elementary

HALLOWELL — Hall-Dale Elementary School — a part of Regional School Unit 2 — will register students for its fall 4-year-old class and for kindergarten.

Parents of children who will be 4 or 5 years old on or before Oct. 15 and live in Hallowell or Farmingdale should call the school at 623-8677 between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday to schedule an appointment.

Whitefield Elementary

WHITEFIELD — Whitefield Elementary School will register children for kindergarten for the 2012-13 school year from 6 to 8 p.m. on March 28.

Parents will meet with teachers and visit classroom. Refreshments will be served.

CHELSEA — Parents/guardians of children who will be 5 years old on or before Oct. 15 should call Chelsea Elementary School at 582-2214 to register their children for kindergarten.

Manchester Elementary

MANCHESTER — Manchester Elementary School will register children who will be 4 years old on or before Oct. 15 for its pre-kindergarten program for the 2012-13 school year.

Registration will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. March 20. Parents will see the classroom, meet the teacher, learn about the program, schedule an appointment for a screening and more.

Henry L. Cottrell

MONMOUTH — Henry L. Cottrell School, in collaboration with Southern Kennebec Child Development Corporation’s Head Start program, will provide a 4-year-old program during the morning in the fall and a pre-school program in the afternoon. Registration will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 29 and 8 to 11 a.m. April 5.

Children must by 4 years old on or before Oct. 15.

Parents will need a copy of their child’s original birth certificate, Social Security card, and health record including immunization dates. Children will be checked for height, weight, vision and hearing, as well as a brief screening with a school staff member.

Winthrop Grade School

WINTHROP — Winthrop Grade School, in collaboration with Southern Kennebec Child Development Corporation’s Head Start Program, will register students for its preschool programs.
