AUGUSTA — Temple Beth El, 3 Woodlawn St., will offer several services.

* A Shabbat Zachor service will begin at 9:30 a.m. today.

* The annual family Purim carnival will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Sunday. There will be a mini megillah reading with Klezmer Band Cinder Conk. Attendees are encouraged to wear costumes and bring hamentashen to share. There will be prizes for costumes and participation in games. All ages are

welcome.

* A learner’s service will take place at 10 a.m. March 10. This service is for Hebrew school students and their families and adults who want to learn how a Shabbat morning service is

put together.

Temple members will carpool to a Megillah reading at Beth Israel in Waterville at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Christian school holds open house

WEST GARDINER — Grace Christian Academy will hold an open house from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the school, 187 Lewiston Road.

Attendees will meet the school’s teachers, students and parents and learn about a Christian school education.
