WINSLOW — Police scored two-for-one arrests Thursday when they served a warrant on a man and discovered drugs and paraphernalia belonging to a woman.

Moises Radhame Pujols, 27, of 49 Halifax St., was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court to face a charge for domestic violence abuse. Danielle Rae Porter, 29, of the same address, was arrested on four drug-related charges.

Two Winslow police officers arrived at the Halifax Street residence about 9:30 p.m. Thursday to serve a warrant on Pujols, according to police chief Jeff Fenlason.

When police knocked on the door an unidentified man let them in to search for Pujols, Fenlason said.

“That’s when the officers smelled an overwhelming scent of marijuana,” he said.

Police located and arrested Pujols without incident, then they asked if Porter would consent to a search for drugs.

“And she said, ‘Sure,’ which is unusual,” Fenlason said.

Fenlason said homeowners typically refuse consent in similar circumstances.

During the search, police found a useable amount of marijuana, drug paraphernalia including bongs, pipes, a spoon that appeared to contain cocaine residue, containers with marijuana residue and a small amount of subutex, he said.

Porter told police, when questioned, that she had sold marijuana to two area minors.

Fenlason added that Porter’s disclosure was also unusual.

Porter was arrested and charged with aggravated furnishing of scheduled Z drugs, a class C felony; unlawful possession of scheduled W drugs, a class D misdemeanor; possession of marijuana, a civil offense; and the sale and use of drug paraphernalia, also a civil offense.
