DETROIT — Voters will be asked to raise about $7,000 more than they did last year at the annual Town Meeting on Saturday.

Selectmen have proposed a $323,332 budget for the coming year. Last year the budget was $316,478.

A $4,000 increase in the town’s solid waste removal contract is among the several requests that account for the budget increase, Town Clerk Kathy Walston said.

Requests for donations from outside agencies are responsible for most of the other budget increases. The town departments maintained last year’s municipal spending levels, she said.

The current tax rate is $13.23 per $1,000 of valuation.
