MONROE, Conn. — A 22-year-old Maine woman has been charged with sexually assaulting a 15-year-old Connecticut boy she met while playing an online video game.

Cassandra Grant of Rockland, Maine, turned herself in at the Monroe police department Monday and was charged with second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor. She posted $10,000 bail and is to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on March 21.

Police say Grant met the Monroe teen about a year ago while playing an online Sony Playstation 3 game. Authorities say the two developed a relationship over the computer and phone and allegedly had sex in December.

Police say the boy’s parents called authorities after discovering the relationship and Grant’s age.

It’s not clear if Grant has a lawyer. There’s no phone listing for her.
