AUGUSTA — The Augusta Kiwanis Club is accepting applications for a $3,000-$3,500 grant to benefit area youth.

Non-profit organizations applying for the grant must state the need, the impact the donation will make and how it will affect the youth in the program, according to a news release. The grant should fund one project. Applications must be received by May 31.

Previous recipients include the Friends of the Cobbossee Watershed, Augusta Nature Club, Kennebec Valley YMCA, Capital Area Recreation Association, Families First Program, Children’s Discovery Museum and the Augusta Skate Park.
