BRUNSWICK — Pulitzer Prize-winning Maine author Barbara Walsh will teach a two-part workshop, “Writing Children’s Books: How to Use Real Stories to Craft Compelling Tales,” at Curtis Memorial Library.
The two-part workshop will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 14 and June 9.
Walsh will discuss how to use real life or imagined stories, details, characters, and voices to write children’s books. Walsh’s children’s book “Sammy in the Sky” was illustrated by Jamie Wyeth and sold out its first 10,000 copies in two weeks and is now on its fourth printing.
Sponsored by the Maine Writers & Publishers Alliance, the cost is $65 for members and $115 for nonmembers.
