UNITY — Sebasticook Regional Land Trust recently announced its first T-shirt design contest in support of its annual Farm & Habitat Tour.

The Fourth Annual Farm & Habitat Tour will be Saturday, Sept. 15, in the China Lake region. Participants visit working farms, woodlots and wildlands by bicycle; there is also a paddling trip with a naturalist guide. The family-friendly tour is a fundraiser for Sebasticook Regional Land Trust, which has conserved more than 2800 acres of productive farms, working forests and wildlife habitat in the Sebasticook River watershed.

Past T-shirts have featured artwork celebrating local foods. This year the Trust seeks submissions from artists of all ages for a new design. Submissions should address the Tour themes of agriculture, wildlife and/or wildlife habitat. Art should be approximately 12 inches in diameter and no more than three colors.

Submissions are due May 15 and the winning entry will be selected by June 1. The winning artist will receive a $25 gift card to the China Dinah, a tour T-shirt and free participation in either the bike tour or paddle. Entries should be submitted electronically to [email protected] or by mail, Sebasticook Regional Land Trust, P.O. Box 184, Unity, ME 04988.
