LEWISTON — Eloise Harnett, a senior at Gardiner Area High School, recently competed in the state Poetry Out Loud poetry recitation contest at Bates College.
A two-time school champion in the competition, this was Harnett’s second consecutive year participating in the statewide competition.
Harnett was selected as one of the top five competitors at the northern Maine regional finals in Ellsworth.
