FARMINGDALE — Ben Crocker pitched a complete game and Brad Shepherd hit a two-run double in the first inning to lead the Hall-Dale High School baseball team past Spruce Mountain 7-1 in a Mountain Valley Conference game Wednesday afternoon.

Crocker allowed one run on five hits, while striking out five and walking two for Hall-Dale (2-0). Zac Plummer added an RBI double and Matt Plourde an RBI triple in the first for Hall-Dale, which scored four times to take control.

Spruce Mountain falls to 1-2.

Morse 4, Gardiner 3, 10 innings: Zack Groat singled in the winning run with no one out in the bottom of the 10th inning to lift the Shipbuilders to a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B win in Bath.

Groat also hit a two-run home run in a three-run third to give Morse (3-0) a 3-1 lead.

Ian Lane pulled Gardiner (1-2) even with a two-run single in the fifth.

Erskine 7, Brunswick 2: John Suga and Shyler Scates each had a double and a single to lead the Eagles to a KVAC A win in South China.

Jory Humphrey pitched a complete game to earn the win for Erskine (2-2), allowing five hits. He also had two singles.

Mt. Ararat 7, Cony 3: Trent Charnock had two hits and Mt. Ararat erased a 3-0 deficit with seven runs in the final three innings to win the KVAC A game in Augusta. Mt. Ararat scored four runs in the top of the seventh to win it.

Charnoick and Torrey Charnock each had doubles for the Eagles (1-2).

Jordan Ellis had a triple and Ben Lucas had two hits to lead the Rams (0-3).

Maranacook 3, Leavitt 0: Eben Ballard pitched a complete game, working out of a bases-loaded jam in the fourth inning to secure the shutout.

Ballard struck out seven and walked five for Mararanacook (3-1). Ian Palmer hit a two-run double in the first inning to give Ballard all the runs he would need. Nate Johnson added two singles and scored two runs.

Justin Bilodeau had a double and a single to lead Leavitt (2-2).

Madison 10, Winthrop 1: Dustin West went 3 for 3 and Steven Cusson pitched a complete game to lead Madison in an MVC game in Winthrop.

Cody Saucier and Travis Emerson each had two hits for the Bulldogs (2-1) as well.

Cusson, Emerson and West each doubled as well.

Winrthrop dropped to 0-1.

Monmouth 5, Carrabec 3: Kyle Fletcher had two hits, including a double, and Alex Cuertis pitched four effective innings to lead host Monmouth in an MVC game.

The Mustangs (1-0) scored all their runs in the bottom of the first inning.

Carrabec dropped to 0-1.

Waterville 11, Oak Hill 1: J.T. Whitten, Tyler Bouchard and Lance Lefebvre each had two hits to lead the Purple Panthers (4-0) in Wales. Brian Bellows pitched a complete game for the win. He allowed just two hits — both singles by Brady Dion.

Oak Hill dropped to 0-4.
