I was pleased that John and Sheila Bacon shared their story about reducing their heating costs by following the advice they received from an energy audit.
Thanks to a stimulus grant, the municipalities of Waterville and Winslow are offering up to a $300 rebate per building to residential property owners for energy audits performed by Efficiency Maine Trust energy advisers.
The residential property must be in Waterville or Winslow and not receiving any federal low-income heating or weatherization assistance. Multi-family properties up to four units automatically qualify. Visit www.sustainmidmaine.org and schedule a free in-home consultation.
