I support Colleen Lachowicz to be the Democratic candidate for Senate District 25, which includes Albion, Benton, Clinton, Unity Township, Waterville and Winslow. In the June primaries, Democratic voters will choose between two very good candidates, and I will support the winner.

I have had an opportunity to observe Lachowicz when she has been involved in the both the Kennebec County Democratic committee and the State Democratic committee.

She is an activist. For many years, she has been helping people with mental health problems. I know that she is concerned about many of the same issues that I am, including Clean Elections, maintenance of adequate state funding for Health and Human Services programs and reviving the Maine economy. The state can do much to provide jobs for people by doing things that need to be done, such as adequately maintaining our roads and bridges.

Lachowicz will work hard to find fair solutions to the many problems that the state Legislature will need to be addressing during the next two years.
