FARMINGDALE — Monmouth Academy senior Reen Kahl pitched a no-hitter against Hall-Dale on Wednesday as the Mustangs remained unbeaten in Mountain Valley Conference play with a 4-0 victory.

Kahl struck out eight and walked one.

“It’s a young team and she’s a veteran pitcher,” Hall-Dale coach Christen Lachapelle said. “It’s our first look at a good pitcher who can bring speed and locate pitches.”

The Mustangs (6-0) scored three runs in the fourth inning on a pair of RBI bunts and a run-scoring single from Colby Wilson. Kylie Kemp was the game’s only repeat hitter with a pair of doubles.

Hall-Dale falls to 4-3.

Oxford Hills 1, Erskine 0: Breanna Martin homered in the fourth inning as the Vikings beat the Eagles in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B game in South China.

Crystal West earned the win for Oxford Hills (6-2), allowing three hits, while striking out five and walking five.

Alyssa Gartley was the tough-luck loser for Erskine (7-2) allowing one run, on two hits, while striking out five and walking one. She also had two singles for the Eagles.

Nokomis 2, Gardiner 1: The Warriors scored two runs in the third inning, then held off the Tigers in the seventh to earn the KVAC B victory.

The Warriors (6-2) scored on a passed ball and a sacrifice bunt by Becca Boyce. Steph Plourde had an RBI single in the top of the seventh for Gardiner (5-3).

Plourde reached third with two outs, but Becky Orcutt ended the game with one of her seven strikeouts.

Taylor Banister led the Tigers with two singles.

Bangor 9, Messalonskee 0: Carly Cosgrove had two doubles and and Kristen Henigan added a pair of hits to lead the Rams to the KVAC A victory in Oakland.

Cailee Mercier had two singles for Bangor (7-1), while Kylee Knight had two singles for Messalonskee (7-1).

Oak Hill 6, Lincoln 3: Kortni Michaud had a double, a single and earned the win as the Raiders beat the Eagles in Wales.

Sadie Goulet, Brooke LeBel and Lauren Beganny each added two singles for Oak Hill (5-3). Michaud struck out seven and didn’t walk a batter.

Tara Gauntt had two singles for Lincoln (3-5).
