ORONO — The University of Maine at Orono recently announced the induction of Danielle Fossa into the All Maine Women Honor Society.

Inductees are selected from the top one percent of the junior class based upon exemplary character and integrity, Maine spirit, scholarship, leadership, and potential for continued contributions to the University of Maine. Members are considered the consummate role model for University of Maine women.

Fossa completed three years with a grade-point average of 3.98 and is pursuing a major in communication science and disorders. She is a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor society, Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, Gamma Sigma Sigma Service Sorority, and National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association.

Fossa is the undergraduate representative to the University of Maine President’s Council on Disabilities and is a research assistant for the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. She has also served as a resident assistant for the past two academic years.

Fossa is the daughter of Jim and Linda Fossa of Waterville and granddaughter of Ernestine Fossa of Dexter.
