PORTSMOUTH, N.H. — A New Hampshire State Police bomb squad says some grenades discovered in a dead man’s closet are authentic, but inert.

Police were dispatched to an apartment in Portsmouth on Monday for a call about an “untimely death.” While they were there, they saw the grenades and called the bomb squad to check them out.

Police tell the Portsmouth Herald (http://bit.ly/Kuhp8k) an autopsy is being done on the 64-year-old man who lived in the apartment. His name has not been released.
