I was shopping for plants at the Agway store in Skowhegan recently on a very hot day. After a few minutes in the greenhouse I was overcome by the humidity and started to have a hard time breathing. The young man who was attending to the greenhouse offered to help me. He pushed my cart for me and offered to get my oxygen tank from my car for me.

He is an ideal employee who went the extra mile to help someone in need. If more people would show this kindness every day, the world would be much better for it.

Many teens or young adults today won’t hold open doors for the elderly or will walk in front of them without even saying “excuse me” or are disrespectful. This young man was a breath of fresh air. I am very grateful to him and appreciate his kindness.
