PRESQUE ISLE — Bird watchers will be out in force for a popular birding festival in northern Maine.
Aroostook State Park in Presque Isle is holding its fourth annual birding festival today.
The festival offers guided bird walks, live bird displays, and presentations by wildlife biologists. This year’s event is celebrating International Migratory Bird Day, which is devoted to connecting people to bird conservation.
The event is billed as Maine’s northern-most birding event.
Aroostook State Park is known as Maine’s first state park.
