KITTERY — A 55-year-old New Hampshire woman is facing charges of stealing more than $29,000 from a Maine business where she worked as a bookkeeper.

Deborah Sterry of Portsmouth is charged with stealing the money from Carl’s Meat Market and Golden Harvest in Kittery.

Foster’s Daily Democrat reports that Sterry is accused of taking the money during a three-month period beginning in February.

She’s charged with theft by unauthorized taking.
