Here’s a part of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (aka Obamacare) that no one seems to be talking about:

Effective Jan. 1, 2014, members of Congress and their staff will be offered health care plans only through the exchange or plans otherwise established by the bill (instead of the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program that they currently use).

I believe this is the one and only true reason why those we send to Congress are trying to get us, average Joes and Janes, to agree that Obamacare is bad for America and help overturn it.

Our congressional representatives don’t really care about us; they don’t want to lose the best health care insurance in this county.

I am sick and tired of cutting the deficit only by taking away from the people. This is like watching Daddy have a full-course steak dinner every night while his children only get cold canned spaghetti.

We, the people, should force the government to allow Congress and all federal employees, (excluding the past and present military personnel) only to have healthcare that is equal to, but not greater than, Medicare, and for state government officials and employees to have health care only equal to, but not greater than, Medicaid/MaineCare.

We all should contact our congressional delegates and our state representatives and demand that they develop and submit a law that will not allow them to have greater health care benefits than the public they serve.
