BELGRADE — The Friends of the Belgrade Public Library’s fourth annual Golf Tournament was held recently at the Belgrade Lakes Golf Course. The tournament was followed by a cocktail/buffet reception where Awards were given by MC Tom Alter of the Professional Golf Association tour, followed by a live and silent auction.

The Award for the longest drive by a man was given to Steve Shuman of Charlie’s Family Dealership’s team; the Award for the longest drive by a woman was won by Beryl Lord from the Golden Pond Wealth Management team. The closest to the pin by a man was won by Mike Phillips from the team of O’Donnell, Lee, McCowan & Phillips Attorneys At Law.

The Two teams with the lowest score were Charlie Shuman’s Team from Charlie’s Family Dealership, with players Charlie Shuman, Steve Shuman, Mike Roddy and Pudge O’Hearn posting a score of 59; and Bob Early’s Team with players Bob Early, Joe Ryan, David Spahn and Kerry Oliver posting a score of 64.

All proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the renovation project for a larger, centrally located library for the town of Belgrade.
