SOMERSWORTH, N.H. — A nationwide operation against synthetic drugs has extended into New Hampshire, where drug enforcement agents raided two stores and one home, and Vermont.

WMUR-TV says agents searched stores on Wednesday in Salem and Somersworth, and a home in Gilford, N.H.

In Vermont, police in Barre say they’ve seized hundreds of packets of banned and soon-to-be-banned substances, including bath salts and synthetic marijuana, from a tobacco shop.

Nationally, “Operation Log Jam” targeted stores in more than 100 cities.

In Salem, N.H., police say they seized at least 40 boxes of what they believe are synthetic drugs from a smoke shop. The drugs also included synthetic marijuana and so-called bath salts. No charges have been filed as authorities await tests to determine the contest of substances they seized.
