CHINA — A Day in the Country Garden Tour and Lakeside Luncheon will be today, as part of China Days.

Beginning at China Baptist Church, at the head of the lake, participants can enjoy a botanical adventure at area gardens, rain or shine. The event will feature stonework, a country garden shed, natural gardens by the lake and history, paths to a garden cabana and a botanical art display, according to a news release.

A luncheon will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Tickets cost $10 in advance for the garden tour or $12 on the day of the tour. Luncheon tickets cost $6 each and a combination ticket for the tour and luncheon is available for $17. Tickets and tour maps for the self-guided tour will be available at China Baptist Church the day of the tour.

The Washburn Brann Ward American Legion Auxiliary Unit 195 will host a baked bean supper 5-6:30 p.m. at China Baptist Church vestry. Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children 6-12 and free for children younger than 6. Proceeds will benefit Dirigo Girls State.
