AUGUSTA — The Augusta Duplicate Bridge Club has announced its recent winners.

Winners on Aug. 1 were: north/south — Janet Arey and Diane Bishop, Lorna Davis and Harriet Leib, and John Erdman and Jane Elliott; east west — James Gray and Ron Cote, Nancy Lenfest and Nancy Lindgren, and Paul Sherman and Paul Mitnik.

Aug. 2 winners were Scott Rivard and James Gray, Paul Mitnik and Vern Arey and Fred Letourneau and Sharron Hinckley.

July 25 winners were: north/south — Stan Mathieu and Paul Jones, Janet Arey and Bob Angland, and Fred Letourneau and Sherry Hinckley; east/west — John Erdman and Jane Elliott, Jim Gray and Jim Harding, and Pat Damon and Diane Bishop.

Winners on July 26 were Fred Lavallee and Ben Lund, Glenn Angell and Dennis Purington, and Vinal Look and Ken Harvey.

Winners on July 18 were Shirley West and Frank Shorey, Paul Mitnik and Paul Sherman, Ron Cote and Paul Jones, and Liz Cross and Stan Mathieu. The Thursday, July 19th, winners were Paul Mitnik and Linda Leotsakos, Fred Lavallee and Ben Lund, Pat Damon and Dianne Bishop, and Michelle Cozart and Jan Arey.

The club meets at 1 p.m. Wednesdays at Granite Hill Estates off Edison Drive and 6:30 p.m. Thursdays at Kennebec Plaza, 20 Willow St. All bridge players are welcome and a partner is guaranteed.

HALLOWELL — Spectrum Generations, the William S. Cohen Community Center, has announced its recent bridge and cribbage winners.

July 23 cribbage winners were Dan Towle and Lou Turmelle, who placed first; Rita Hale and Wayne Curtis, second; and Harold Mott and Bob Atkins, third. High hand went to Dan Towle.

Bridge winners on July 19 were Bob Chandler, who placed first; Pat Leach, second; Pat Williams, third; and Joan McClay, fourth.

Game day bridge winners on July 18 were Sally Foster, who placed first; Gloria Bilodeau, second; and Red Nichols, third.

July 16 cribbage winners were Carol Gowen and Al Legere, who placed first; Frank Collins and Bob Creamer, second; Lou Turmelle and Jim McCutcheon, third; and Ken Shephard and Loretta McDougall, fourth. High hand went to Margaret Rickett.
